I would think the kind of things that are breaking down society are, say, poverty, a crumbling education system, income disparity and.... hypocrisy.
But I never hear about plans to start a "war" on any of them.

For decades Republicans ran for office preaching conservative principles based on lower taxes, less government, and less government spending... Being fiscally conservative.. It's a winning message..
They still preach that message, but today much of that message like smaller government and less spending is BS.. The truth is the modern Republican agenda is mostly about is social issues.
But the fiscally conservative line still works.. It fools a large portion of the population....

There's an actual party of small government? Social conservatives and social liberals have the same amount of affection for big government.
