if you say "i'll help you cure your gay" you're not saying "it may or may not work". you're making a positive assertion, that there is a guaranteed end result, and you will simply be the one assisting in it.

I think the very suggestion that sexual orientation can be changed is itself damaging.

Clearly this individual is tortured by some sort of religious programming and social pressure to be something he isn't. To take his money and tell him you can do the impossible...gotta be something legally wrong with that.

But on the other hand there are "spiritual healers" out there who claim they can cure cancer, so whatever pays the bills I guess.
