Its way better to tweet than to email your representative. Most likely the rep's secretary will respond to you in a generic fashion. You create a large enough twitter response, you've effectively shown almost all politicians this is what a majority or very large segment in the population cares about. Might not be in your district but if even if republicans see a large enough push on this 2k thing, they will feel a little bit of pressure
