Ok I know all that...BUT...the UN partitioned Palestine and divided it into 2 states...one Jewish...one Arab. Both states were recognized. That means that an Arab Palestine was recognized by the UN at some point. When did that become null?

I'm guessing it was part of the 1949 cease-fire, Israel, Jordan, and Egypt just absorbed Palestine and the UN rubber-stamped it...but I don't know for sure.

If you are going to bother trying to extend international law, you need to include everybody, particularly those who you disagree with. I mean that is the entire point: to have a forum for diplomatic relations, and a framework for resolving disputes.

The UN is a stage for civilized nations to communicate world problems, or at least it's supposed to be. I don't like the idea of elevating dictatorships to the same moral level as the United States of America or Canada or France.

And I also don't like evading reality. Their savages. We should treat them accordingly.

What possible utility can a generalized statement about millions of people have to this issue?

If you are one one side, you think the other are savage. We can all google up nastiness from both directions. Why try to state it as some sort of absolute that millions of people you've never met are "savages"?
