Wouldn't simply employing a no-fly zone help considerably?
Although I realize it's gotten complicated since the AQ types have shown up--they like Lindsay Lohan's dad--for this little shindig too.

We do not have an inexhaustible supply of troops, materiel, and treasure.
This is a simple fact.
And any military involvement of ours in Syria would have to be a helluva lot more than one tank on Mt. Everest.
