Let's review.
1. If a country uses chemical weapons, it will be destroyed by the United States.
2. If a country allows chemical weapons to fall into the hands of terrorists, and the United States finds out, it will be destroyed.
3. The United States cannot trace chemical weapons back to their source in all circumstances, with 100% certainty.
4. If the United States has decent - but unconfirmed - evidence that a particular country used chemical weapons against it, it would not necessarily destroy that country.
5. The United States will not go to war just because a country presents an existential threat, on the basis that going to war with such a country presents an existential threat.
6. The United States will go to war just because a country has chemical weapons, but not always, it really just depends on the state of relations between that country and the United States.
Is this right?
