Ex one of the thing that astounded me way back was yes, you can smear anybody in politics and flat-out lie but this is protected speech.
It goes even further, where you'll see "news" organizations literally editing or omitting context from video to incriminate a political foe. Shirley Sherrod, anyone? So you can away with murder here (no pun intended) with free speech.
In this case, what NBC did was inexcusable--purposely editing a tape to make somebody "seem" guilty. I expect that kind of thing from FOX on a daily basis, but NBC?
Personally I hope he wins, in that for all intents and purposes they fabricated "evidence" about him.
