This explains how that video about Barack Obama was allowed. The one that made the headlines during the campaign. I was like, whats the big deal, guy is just going to get his ass sued anyways. Now I understand...

You can say literally anything you want about politicians. That's why half the conservatives in America think Obama is an al Qaeda plant hell bent on destroying America.

Ex one of the thing that astounded me way back was yes, you can smear anybody in politics and flat-out lie but this is protected speech.

It goes even further, where you'll see "news" organizations literally editing or omitting context from video to incriminate a political foe. Shirley Sherrod, anyone? So you can away with murder here (no pun intended) with free speech.

In this case, what NBC did was inexcusable--purposely editing a tape to make somebody "seem" guilty. I expect that kind of thing from FOX on a daily basis, but NBC?

Personally I hope he wins, in that for all intents and purposes they fabricated "evidence" about him.
