More people doesn't actually make things cheaper in the long run, it merely means on biological level you have more competition. This means that more people in existence has no other possible effect but to make make things more expensive on the whole, since there is way more demand for the available resources. This is basic stuff. What I am trying to get through to you is that you do not feel the bite of this reality only because of temporary situational characteristics that give you, as a 20th century American, a distinct advantage in access to these resources over many of the other human organisms on the planet.
This position is not stable, the shift has already begun. Since we know this it behooves us to harness whatever intelligence we can muster and figure out a way that is sustainable over the long term instead of saying "f**k it" and get what you can out of it until it all falls down.
Stating these problems don't exist is simply run of the mill denial. Any rational person can see the writing on the wall.
