Meh, either way I laugh a little when when the complaint is lodged that "we don't have the skills for all those job openings in the US manufacturing industries right now!"
Has anybody considered that the pay being offered is low enough to the point where it's not a real consideration for most folk? A machinist doesn't make that much anymore...it's all automated. If you're familiar with the software and you're dealing in special metals then it gets more lucrative (My father worked with Beryllium) but the sentiment echoed above is more and more prevalent.
