...So you know about Win8 right? That the desktop is actually an "app" and that the whole thing is built around a touch interface, and is pure fail? That the actual "desktop" looks more like this:
Its a joke. They are trying to move away from the traditional Windows OS completely, and go with this horrific new disaster called Metro. The start menu for example quite literally no longer even exists. The whole OS is designed as a way to get consumers hooked on Windows Apps, sold through the MS App Store. I'm running Win8 on one of my systems right now, and the suck is thick as walrus jizz in january.
I am earnestly and hopefully awaiting the wholesale rejection of Win8 by the business world, half of the consumer market, and a nice step up in OSX marketshare.
MS did way too good a job on Win7, and they are scared everyone is perfectly happy to keep using for a decade rather than upgrade to the next new thing they came up with, like what happened with XP.
