Not to mention that the only reason a person has the privilege of becoming a doctor in the first place is because society has knowledge of medicine from all of the preceding generations and that has led to the system of training physicians that we have now. It's not like someone is born with the medical knowledge of a doctor, or figured out medicine on their own. They merely are adding to the work of millions, every generation has contributed to what society now has to offer the individuals who comprise it. The contribution of one individual is seen to be statistically negligible when examined in this light.
