I find it so sad that a shooting like this is making everyone panic like its the end of the world. Everything from media coverage to facebook has pissed me off.
Obama: "We are not doing enough to protect our children"
CNN article: "Has life in America gone insane?"
CNN article: "Obama set to tackle gun laws"
yadah yadah yadah
President Obama didn't need to be at the memorial service speaking, he doesn't need to be tackling gun laws and people need to just shut the f**k up about this entire incident. The actions of a few (in this case 1 f**k person) do not portray the actions of all or many. A man shoots 20 children in a school in the US and we now have to change our laws, our way of life, claim we are crazy, nutjobs, and gun clingers and filled with rage yet across the world in areas like Syria, children and women are mass slaughtered by the day. As far as I'm concerned, over the last 10 years we have seen horrible shootings in this country from Virginia tech to columbine etc. but as far as I'm concerned, compared to the rest of the world I would say thats progress and certainly an acceptable case in a nation such as ours.
