September 27, 2012—A 36-year-old man who had just been laid off from Accent Signage Systems in Minneapolis, Minnesota, entered his former workplace and shot five people to death, and wounded three others before killing himself.

I think once you eliminate multiple gunmen, crime related and domestics (and I'm not even sure that domestics should be eliminated... if so, why ?) you are still left with those examples which generally involve someone going into a place of work or old school etc etc. These seem like mass shootings to me. Quite simply, they weren't organised crime/gang related and someone flipped out with a gun and attacked multiple people in public

i read an article some time ago about how school shootings are going down, but back-in-the-day it wasn't mass school shootings it was some kid comes to school and kills his teacher and just his teacher, or something. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_sc ... ted_States

but the worst school thing happened in 1927 http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bath_School_disaster 45 deaths -- 38 of which were children, 58 injuries. the guy did it because he lost an election for township clerk
