Which is why I mock NRA types who talk about their guns = freedom and liberty because I guarantee you that 95% of them have no idea what we're talking about and worse, even if you did tell them, they may well not care.
Let me revisit another quote from an old Taibbi piece: a former SEC official who said if you started arresting the Blankfeins and Dimons of the world and frog-marching them in cuffs in front of the cameras this sh*t would stop tomorrow.
The drugs angle just makes it even more absurd: we're wasting billions a year for decades on a pointless "war" but we won't go after the people who do their money laundering? Jesus.

To be fair, money laundering shoudlnt be a crime, its not fraud after all and banks wash money all the time, its what they do.
