Bush's pardon of those people constituted nothing of the sort. When accepting of the pardon, those people all admited that they were guilty of the crime, but simply had their punishments commuted. The President did not overturn their convictions. And, for those yet to go on trial (Weinberger), for them to accept the pardon means that he admits guilt, but is forgiven by the state and serves no time.

He was probably the greatest President that we will have during my lifetime. He did not take military action unless it was warranted. He did not exceed his mandate. He took domestic actions that were necessary, even though not popular.

A president that forgives crimes, is as guilty as the criminals.

If you're going to get away with it, what difference does it make what you do or say? Not one bit of difference. They flaunted their crimes and the president was in on it, in that he let them get away with it. That's the American way, if you have the connections.

"Read my iips: NO NEW TAXES!"

In addition, when crime at this level, of this magnitude goes unpunished, nay rewarded, there is no law. There's only what you can get away with and what you can't get away with.

And what you can get away with is all up to who you know and how well.


When the POTUS puts the power of his office behind lawlessness, the republic is wading in very deep doodoo.
