India rape calls for gun law rewrite

Exactly. Rape is a problem that will always be here. All crime is. In every country and every ethnic group and every demographic.

We can eliminate some of it, but social programs don't keep you safe. They make us feel better and if you throw enough money at anything, you will have some success.

I am not one that subscribes in the theory that putting a gun into the mix is going to automatically prevent crime.

I do think guns CAN help but I don't think India's solution is arming the people. I think the solution needs to be a change in how the society views women. And really, adding guns aren't going to fix that.
