Yes, and they are insipid places where you get thrown in prison for defending your family and home as a result. Banning objects clearly isn't going to solve any problems.

I don't know, do you really want to look someone in the eye that you cannot offer any protection at all to and tell them they can't have a tool that could help defend their personal safety?
I don't. I don't think I have that right and I think it very presumptuous that some think they are entitled to tell people in an entirely different country that the ideology prevalent in the UK and it's commonwealth trumps their own right to provide personal defense for themselves.
Seems kind of like a remnant of the old colonial British attitude still exists lol.
