Unarmed defenseless people slaughtered by governments? Absolutely. The numbers don't lie. Governments killed 170 million unarmed people. It is a fact. Live with it. This is why we will not allow the second amendment to fall.

I think the example of the Armenian genocide by the state of Turkey is a very good example of what can become of a people who become a nuisance to the state and who are then subjected to a program beginning with the loss of liberties such as freedom of speech or the right to defend yourself and ending with liquidation.
Sounds crazy but it's a matter of historical fact and the truth is that is how the human species rolls more often than not. Individuals have the right to secure themselves against such a threat. In fact that is the very principle this country is founded upon and as soon as we step away from the principle of respecting the rights of the individual our society might go that way as well.
