Creating an additional tax bracket for those making more than $400,000 (vs $250,000) was probably the best outcome of the bargain. I would have preferred an additional bracket for those making over $1,000,000, but it's better than nothing.

Heh, should be interesting watching people respond to the payroll tax increase. Luckily I have a separate pension in Texas for educators so I've already been paying 6% in retirement the entire time.
I say "luckily" but actually it's a trap because if I ever get married my wife's SS benefits would dwindle.

I dont support progressive taxation. At all. If taxes must be collected then it should be a true flat tax so its fair to everybody.
