Look, this man is legally a father.
He probably meant well, but is an idiot for not realising that by helping out his friends he would end up becoming a father of a child. Children need financial support. A lot of financial support, actually, and fathers are legally obliged to provide some of it whenever possible. It's a shame for him and I do have some sympathy, but at the heart of this story is a child whose father doesn't want anything to so with him ( or her). The child comes first in this mess and he ( or she) needs supporting.
As for the rest, well...I've never read such a lot of sanctimonious drivel from people who only found their own arseholes with help from mummy and daddy.
Sometimes pschiit happens in life. People are not perfect. Not even your mummies and daddies, believe it or not.
