I think he was pretty balanced at various points. Like I said before, he seems to have gone off the deep end since Obamas reelection.

I used to respect him a lot though, partially for the reasons DWBH ineloquently articulated.

All the world is a stage and we are actors upon it - I am sure O'Rreilly has strong conservative leanings, but his activities outside of his work on Fox prove to me at least he is no Glen Beck, and is actually a man who is a deep thinker, who equally does not take himself to seriously.

Anyhoo... the point of the thread is that the GOP clearly has no idea how out of touch they are and FOX news is a daily barometer of that. Are you really disputing that? Really?

About a month before the election I saw an interview with O'Reilly.. He said he doesn't endorse any candidates, which he said was proof he doesn't favor one party over the other.. But then he went on to describe the 2 candidates as: Romney is a corporate friendly free market person and Obama was a 'socialist'.. That should clear up any thought that OReillly is 'fair and balance'..

And BTW Grover Norquist isn't an elected official of the GOP, but is is most definitely a spokesperson for the GOP.
