The actual GOP players have been bending the curve toward moderate politics a bit, IMO.

A couple of weeks back I was flipping thru the channels and stopped on Fox because a reporter, (NOT a talking head) was reporting on the GOP's saying that Obama won because of the give-aways. And she mentioned the ObamaPhone..

The Obamaphone business has been completely debunked.. On the net, on TV, on the radio, it's been debunked everywhere. Obama, nor any president has anything to do with giving phones to the poor. But here was a reporter on a national news channel using it as an example of Obama giving something away to get votes.

She should have been fired, or at least suspended because she was either purposely lying, or completely incompetent. But I never heard anything more about it, so I doubt anything happened.

Accountability is severely lacking on Fox, and throughout the whole conservative talking heads media. They say anything, and they have no fear of accountability. IMO, that's dangerous. It almost turns into the big lie... Say something enough times and if it is a big enough lie, it becomes the truth, it becomes believable.

I am sure there are MILLIONS who believe the Obamaphone myth. I personally know people who do.
