I didn't gather that it was, sorry. I just want to establish what the positions are here if there is to be a dispute.
I would think a post that says "i disagree. a ddos IS hacking" is a joke right off the bat were it not for the fact that I just went 7 pages arguing with some pretty extreme positions. Forgive me.

Ddos is a cyber attack and should be dealt with harshly, there can be nothing worse than preventing free flow of information.

DDoS shouldn't be legal in any way, shape, or form. There's no way I am going to sign a petition to make it legal.
If people want to protest, they can put up their own website and try to steal hits or something. But bringing down a site and disrupting a company? Criminal offense. The penalty for doing this should be at least 5 years imo.
