Seriously though, many of my favourite IRL people are rednecks, and I admire them precisely because they are unconcerned with social norms. It is refreshing and admirable.

Eh, the rednecks I associate with could generally care less about what others do... so long as they don't go after their guns. Of course American rednecks seem to be a whole other breed. Either way, I generally appreciate having people around who are unlike me. Also, rednecks are fantastic to party with.

There won't be any martial law. They will link gun ownership to some fake health care issue and charge prohibitively high insurance premiums for those who insist on having a health "risk" in their home by owning a gun.
