Meh, I could give a shit about Morgan or whether or not there's a heart involved. 8,500 deaths doesn't capture the full extent of the harm inflicted because it ripples across society through the effects in their families, friends, etc. In terms of comparison it's a useful stat but you guys use the stats to suggest it's really nothing and approaching it from that vantage point doesn't help your cause much, probably hurts it more. Case in point? Three strikes laws at their inception especially as it relates to California. Nobody seemed to be doing shit so people got together, put TONS of pressure on the political establishment, and then we went too far.

Keep ignoring these issues like this thread does and we'll see just how far we can go down that road.

- Ban Gun Shows
- Ban Weapon Sales online
- Sell Ammo only to legal Gun Owners
- FIgure out some way of regulating gun transfers/you should not be able to relinquish a gun to another individual without proper screening

There's no justification for violating the law of the land or violating the rights of citizens that don't even have anything to do with any "problem", which is actually an irrelevancy represented by an insignificant statistic.

What makes people think they can bring up "gun deaths" and use that to interfere in the lives of others who are completely unrelated to the issue being discussed? Deaths from guns are not even anywhere near being a leading cause of death in this country. gun ownership and the 2nd amendment are quite simply not a problem. The entire issue of repealing the 2nd amendment ridiculous and should be dismissed out of hand. It's the same kind of hysterical people that want to ban video games, or burn books.
