Don't complain when you are charged then. Unlike the person you shot, you've been warned. You have a legal obligation to use lethal force only under the most dire circumstances, and only when such force is warranted by the situation.

Im sure I'll be well within my rights for self defense regardless anyway especially if its a clear cut case like the incident in the OP.
