There have been many studies that show overtime is a diminishing return. The longer you work in a day, the less productive you become. The tipping point comes at about the 10th hour worked each day. The company I worked for had an unlimited option on over time, and we did occasionally have people doing 100 hour weeks - The deal was if your performance or quality dropped, we would throttle back your hours. We had two people who had been doing 80 hour weeks for as long as we could remember.
