It is fair to say that juries have unrealistic expectations for evidence. But, in my opinion, that isn't such a bad thing. I'll take this over juries that rubber-stamp guilty verdicts. In the case of Casey Anthony, a reasonable person would conclude she did, in fact, murder her child. But I think that same reasonable person would demand more than circumstantial evidence about bad smells and duct tape when trying someone for murder.
