The thing is though, it wasn't just that she was dishonest, it was all tied together to show that she was responsible through her actions following her daughter's "disappearance."

It wasn't that she just searched chloroform, it was that the trunk of the car had a lot of chloroform in it, as well as a dead body. It was just coincidence that chloroform and a dead body happened to be in the trunk of her car? Come on now lol.

And circumstantial evidence is going to come into play with the Jodi Arias trial as well.

No one saw her kill Travis. There's no video of her trying to dump the body. There's no proof she put the laundry in the wash. There's no proof she was the one that tried to cover up the evidence after the murder happened. There's no proof that he didn't attack her first and she was acting in self defense.

But you have to look at everything in the whole, not just one piece of evidence by itself at a time. And again, this just outlines the problems with juries these days. These people are expecting Elliot from Law and Order SVU to pop out and show the "gotcha" evidence that removes ALL doubt about the case. That type of thing just doesn't happen more often than not.

But it's the prosecutor's job to tie all of the evidence together. If the jury isn't convinced they just didn't do their job. It's not a problem with the jury or the principle of guilty until proven innocent.

Yes, most people are dumb therefore jurors are mostly fairly dumb, but more often than not that dumbness works in the favor of the prosecution. We don't have to do their job for them, we need to make sure they do their job correctly.
