I don't single out "NRA people." It's EVERY American's responsibility to take on this issue seeing that it deals with I dunno: freedom, liberty, fighting tyranny, etc.

So you would think that the people who hold themselves up as champions of those very things would be, call me kooky!, leading the charge?

Considering that the only ones who DID do that were all those hippie liberal pussies who... I'm guessing don't have guns? The ones the freedom-lovers despise?

The problem is, I think the only thing that will ever change this is a complete meltdown circa the Great Depression. Only THEN will people understand how they've been had.

What's so awful about this is that it's all set up to happen--this is like having all the intel on 9/11 a week before and doing... nothing.

Oh, and when it does happen you'll hear (like you did with 9/11, like you did with 2008), "Nobody could have imagined!"

This has been a common refrain of mine borne more out of frustration than wanting to smear gun owners.

This is my pet issue and has been since 2008. So put yourself in my shoes: you see what's happening to your country, and nobody's doing anything about it. Especially the gun-owning "freedom lovers" and of course the freedom-loving tyranny hating Tea Party.

Imagine if all those gun owners marched to Wall St. with their guns. Won't happen I know (no guns in NYC!). I used to say out loud what if the tea party joined forces with OWS? Somebody once did an article about how their goals really do go hand-in-hand. And of course all the Obama-loving liberals who think everything is hunky dory as long as he's in charge and gays can marry. I GET that part.

But that brings us back to the gambit: divide and conquer. How much do you want to bet that you ask any gun dude or TPM about OWS and they've been told that it's all liberal, capitalist-hating hippies?

Or let me put it this way: you don't want anybody touching your guns, fine. But don't blanket that argument with accolades about how you're such a patriot and freedom fighter when you sit here and let this go on. Just leave that argument out. Then I'll shut up about it. Fair enough?

I liked the OWS debt purchase idea. With the right marketing, that could really be something to rally around.
