It's not unrelated. I gave you a link about them vowing to block anyone. I now gave you a link of them vowing to block the CFPB dude which is the other lawsuit going on for the same reason.
Yeah, i might have mixed up which position the letter was for but the outcome is the same. The Senate GOP wrote a letter claiming to deny appointment NO MATTER WHOM was nominated for the position in something that must be legally appointed.
The NLRB threats were without a letter and the CFPB was with one. Same shit.

you're speculating that they would have "held it hostage", ergo the president is justified in eviscerating the senate's power and conferring said powers onto himself. why even bother with recess appointments? he should just appoint any the f**k he pleases. is the constitution to you just red tape that gets in the way of progress (which is whatever the executive says)? because that's what you're saying
inaction on the senate doesn't mean the president can do shit about it. the constitution was made to foster gridlock
