How Much Electricity Do Computers Use?

I was just wondering if it would help global warming if we shut the internet off for good.

I've measured my desktop at a peak of about 775 watts while under load. (counting the monitors and amp for the sub/speakers)
It slays 12 trees, 5 pandas, and 2 unicorns every day it operates.
