The gov't was not the architects of the financial crisis. Period. Were they enablers of it? Sure. And they still are.
We will not be deflecting blame from where it primarily lies so we can go on fun fantasies about how everything is always the fault of... the govt.

not really, no. history of the markets has shown if you allow banks and the financial industry to engage in self destructive practices they will regardless of any notion of being bailed out. to suggest this time around things were different is just illogical.

Where did anybody get the idea that the banks "adopted all the risk"?
If that were true, they'd be gone.
No, WE adopted all the risk and we continue to do so, as they adopt only the profits. Everybody needs to understand that.
