Immigration - amnesty or deportation?

pathway to citizenship although i think we should deport individuals with no proof of employment as well (seasonal workers get a work visa). i'm for open borders but being in the situation we're in it would just be exploitative. so i think those that stay should already be contributing members in some fashion. also lock down the border and create an express lane to citizenship for those that qualify. this waiting for years and years thing is ridiculous.

I went through the US naturalisation process. Pretty interesting. You can't buy property for the first three years of your green card. Can't vote until you get citizenship which is fair.

You pretty much have to allow those who are already here find a path to citizenship. Of course any violent felons should be deported.

There's just too many of them. Some estimates are 11 million but it's probably higher.

We have already beefed up the border and Mexico has caught up somewhat to the US making us less desirable. We need to continue to prevent new undocumented people from crossing into our nation as it's not fair to those who go through the proper channels.

We need to streamline actual legal immigration better and get those we'd want over here easier.


Anyone who actually thinks we need to deport them all isn't living in the real world.

I just wanted to say it was good to see that thus far all the respeondents to the poll have unanimously chosen the third option (pathway).

Every so often something comes along to reinstate my small faith in humanity once again.
