If someone would have made a post about how Palestinians ignite tires filled with gasoline around the necks of dissenters and how the depravity of this this atrocity therefore makes it ok to discriminate or otherwise attack Palestinians I think the response would have been similar.

Meh. Jewish people are the ones doing all sort of atrocious shit to preserve a nation based upon racial and religious exclusion. And if you haven't noticed, the government of Israel, although diverse, is run by a bunch of religious fascists who truly believe they are Gods chosen people.

When faced with the simple fact that you have a bunch of religious nutjobs engagied in a socially accepted version of genocide, with a long and storied history of racism, bigotry and ultra-nationalism... some degree of anti-semitism is perfectly natural. Doesnt mean I endorse discrimination, it just means that I despise those who do discriminate, but get away with it because of Holocaust guilt.
