Banks should be allowed to do whatever they want but if they screw up there shouldnt be any bailouts.

I don't even know if that would work.
Case in point: 2008. MILLIONS of people were thrown out of work and their homes with no assistance while bankers not only kept their jobs, but were re-floated and given BONUSES... from the tax dollars including those millions thrown out of work and homes!
In most countries you'd think that the people would take to the streets with pitchforks (or AR-15s) and torches but... *crickets.*
Guess what WAS presented to the millions back in 2008/09 as the biggest threat to their liberty/well-being? Anybody remember?
It was a neat trick.
Case in point: 2008. MILLIONS of people were thrown out of work and their homes with no assistance while bankers not only kept their jobs, but were re-floated and given BONUSES... from the tax dollars including those millions thrown out of work and homes!

To many things are done that are unethical but not illegal. Unethical but not illegal seems like a contridiction to terms right from the start.
The hardest part of doing nothing is knowing when your done.
