the cfpb is unconstitutional
the funding isn't appropriated by congress. it's determined by the director of the cfpb and taken from the federal reserve
http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/won ... _blog.html this is illegal of course under article 1 section 9 that states, "No money shall be drawn from the treasury, but in consequence of appropriations made by law; and a regular statement and account of receipts and expenditures of all public money shall be published from time to time." the director cannot make law, only congress can (all legislative power is vested in the congress, see: article 1 of the US constitution). he cannot legally appropriate the money. and yet he does
the director is his own sovereign entity. he can't be removed for policy reasons and he can stay in office forever without needing to be renominated if no successor is anointed by the president
apparently 60% of it's 1000 strong workforce make over 100K a year. consumer protections my ass. and they can do this because congress has no oversight, because the entire thing is grossly inappropriate to exist. of course communist fake-indian senator from massachucetts who illegally practiced law for decades is going to create some monstrosity like that thing
sure, strangle it in its crib.
but then douse it in gasoline and burn it
