So the department of Justice produces a memo with supporting arguments, and now the law has changed. Might need to see what happens when the real law comes to town and the Supreme Court hears a challenge

I'm actually not all that worked up over drone strikes on Americans in principle. Being an "American" doesn't give you a free pass to join the ranks of its enemies and wage war against it. I think the executive needs to confer with Congress on these attacks, though. Willy-nilly attacks without explanation (or explanations hidden behind "national security" clauses) are unacceptable.
