The rest of the militaries of the world combined do not justify our level of military spending. There is no air force or navy that even comes close to having the firepower necessary to overcome our coast guard, much less the navy.

And that's is why the sequestration is a good idea. Our military could stand to be reduced 10%. Of course it will have impacts on readiness (probably not that much) and jobs (well that could be an issue) but people keep whining about the size of our military and cuts won't happen voluntarily as long as most every Senator and Congressman gets votes for nailing defense contracts back home.

We already spend about 10x more then the rest of the world combined on that stuff. So if we drop to 6-7x the rest of the world combined on that stuff, we will be over run by the boogyman brigade?
