Unlike you, I don't refer to children as 'retards.' And you clearly missed my grudge against inclusion classes, not special ed programs. Or, more likely, you have a vendetta against gifted and talented children; that would explain why you think kids who get good grades are socially inept.
So to recap:
- I've worked with special ed students by choice as a special ed aide.
- I've taught special ed students.
- I've volunteered my weekends for the benefit of special ed students.
- I've saved a special ed (or at least 504) student's life.
- I oppose inclusion classes when they bring down other students.
You:
- Refer to special ed kids as retards.
- Hate AP kids.
- Think regular students should perform less just to maintain inclusion.
But at least you want to give teachers a raise... in exchange for more training. More time away from teaching and lesson planning.
Gotchya.
