Our credit is in no danger of running out so there goes that myth.
Our only priority right now should be reviving the economy. Tanking that economy to deal with the debt is just being stupid (and will ultimately balloon the debt even more).

Ok then, in the mean time the COALITION GOVERMENT, incluiding a bunch of Liberals so liberal they'd liberal your liberal up, liberal style. will continue hording money and making cuts, so that the country is economically solvent and most importantly a credible debtor when the time comes to stimulate growth when the global econmy stops regularly shitting bricks.
