The job changes people..
I've seen it a few times over the years. Good decent men become cops, and within so many years they turn into rotten pricks with a macho complex 2nd to none.
Dealing with not nice people every single day...As was mentioned earlier giving certain type people a badge and a gun.. PLUS add in most of the time when they do fvck up there is NO accountability.. And the militarization of the police departments...Add them all up and many PD are a mess... I'm not an expert, I have no idea how to fix the problems with some PD's, or even if they can be fixed..
But it is easy to sit at our keyboards and point fingers and criticize..
