We psychologically mutilate our own young women with our own culture's unrealistic notions of beauty which in turn drives them to mutilate themselves via starvation. Until our culture causes less misery instead of actually causing more far more misery than all other cultures combined we have no business moralizing about what miseries other cultural beliefs cause.

The amount of human suffering because a tribe in Djibouti refuses to give up female circumcision is miniscule in comparison to the amount of misery we cause around the world on a daily basis because of our voracious consumption of resources.
