Loads of celebrities actively court the press, paparazzis and all. The media and PR are the same thing really. Heather referenced the Diana death above and those French paparazzis were kind of culpable but in the past she used to tip off the press about where she'd be. Some people crave that attention. Kids don't want to be actors or musicians or whatever anymore. They want to be famous with all that entails.
