That's right, that's exactly what a retired air force general recently told me.

He said no civilian, and very few military folks, know what true capabilities we have. The true stats on the F-22 are classified. What civilians know about our air force is declassified. If its declassified, our enemy knows. If our enemy knows, then we don't care if they know because we already have better.

I promise nobody reading this knows the true capabilities of the F-22 or its avionics systems. People don't realize, it's not all about stealth. That's all I'll say as I can't repeat what I've been told.

And your reply reminds me of a clueless forum poster who is going up against someone who knows more about the topic then they do, so they try to use an evasion tactic to avoid discussing the topic at hand.

That general just showed up at our hangar and I had a brief chat with him. He said nobody buys the best we have, always one step below the best. He said Israel is really good at "bettering" what we give them to adapt it for what they need it for. Oh yea, this guy is a retired air force general, with thousands of hours in the F-4 and F-15 and F-16 fighters. Probably a weeeeeee-bit more informed on the topic than say.....YOU ARE.

All I will say is you can do more to radar than evade it.
