over half a kilometer? im pretty sure sound from shouting loudly is like 200m max and that's really stretching it. more like 100m really, in an open area without sound bouncing around. they are probably inside and can be heard arguing... 600 meters away? lol

Depends on acoustics. Echos or open areas, the sound is going to travel further.
Agreed that 600m is a long ways though.

also, can't they just google earth that shit and see what the distance from the "neighbors" house to his house? And can't they ask people closer if they heard anything for sure coming from the house at 2-3 am?
