Population density has nothing to do with it. Similar population densities are seen all over the world, and none of those places have a murder rate like yours (example: London, England).

Poverty has nothing to do with it (the US is richer than Canada, US, UK).

Drug policies have nothing to do with it (drugs are illegal everywhere).

Racial tensions? Well, maybe, but I see no real indicator of that, especially considering alot of your violence is black on black.

Gangs exist everywhere.

These arguments are old. They have been thoroughly disproven. Time to move on.

Guns are way more lethal than a knife. Way more lethal. 80% of gunshot wounds to the heart will kill a person. Only 30% of knife wounds to the heart will kill a person. This is why your murder rate is so high.

Saving peoples lives is worth it.

I always love how Americans will be confronted by somebody outside the country--with no dog in the fight--are given an objective view of what everybody else sees.
