Why do you believe that the government is "stockpiling" ammo, rather than using it for training? How much ammo did the government buy in, say 2006?

Well, there are two other things to consider here, in all faireness:

1. There have been a lot of mass shootings and rampages lately, you have to admit. On top of that, now we see the ability to "print" weapons. This will be readily available to bad people as well as good. And, you'd have to be an idiot to assume there are no foreign terror threats residing inside of our country waiting for the right time to strike.

2. Despite the potentially ineffective consolidation of government entities in recent years, such as DHS, there are a LOT of people within DHS and just about every other government organization (I would dare say all of them) that actually care about helping people and about protecting the people of our country. I can assure you that. I meet them everyday. It's going to take a lot to get the entire organization of DHS, for example, to start acting as a tyrannical force on our own people.

This is not to say that the things being presented in this post aren't something we should be concerned about, but I think it would be better evaluated by selecting all available realities and not just a few to evaluate from.
