It's impossible to qualify statistically the exact reason(s) a couple gets married. But biological and aesthetic attraction now plays the major role in driving marriages for sure because women no longer need to be taken care of like in the past. The ladies kill it themselves now. Centuries ago? Yeah, there were probably scores more reasons that drove two people together aside or in conjunction with feelings of love and attraction. A cave-woman probably chose which caveman to mate with based on if he could put meat on the fire more than if he winked at her.
