Yeah that game almost makes you cry. I didn't see it so I guess my position was too soft on them. I agree, a regular game like that will have a lot of pissed off people.

Even though Peyton is damaged goods the Broncos went after him hard because they needed him to get out from under the Tebow mess.. Tebow was too popular to just 'let go' or even trade without having a great upgrade at the QB position.. Even though he's damaged Manning is a huge upgrade.
Having a terrible QB like Tebow was setting the Broncos back years. A QB with a completion % of about 45% is worse then bad, it's atrocious.. A completion % under 50% is almost impossible in today's pass happy NFL.. But Tebow was way under 50%, and that proves how bad of a QB he is.
The Broncos couldn't sit him because every time the starting QB screwed up the fans would be screaming for Tebow (the Jets will find that out this year, and their QB position will be a mess by mid-season), the Broncos couldn't trade him without getting someone to make the fans forgot about Tebow, and signing Manning was that guy..
If Manning stays healthy I think the Broncos can win 10-11 games..
